liver4mast..1yr now. Second opinion.. trying to go to M.D. Anderson for a second opinion"??? good?

I'm really toxic to the chemo I'm on and my dr refused to change mine. I need a 2nd opinion and there's no one here we are a small town. The chemo worked but I ended up with a colonostomy bag and I'm sick all the time with my insides keeping me in a chair 24/7. Took myself off 3 months ago because I was very sick and plural effusion the size of a mellon. Dr refuses to change chemo drug so I need a second opinion fast.Where?

    MD Anderson and Sloan
    MD Anderson and Sloan Kettering in NY are the two best in the country. I've transfered care to Sloan myself. Good luck and fight the fight

    Sorry you are having such a difficult time. It depends on where you live, but you definitely need a second opinion fast! I live in VA and the best here is UVA in Charlottesville, VA. There is Duke University in NC. MD Anderson is also very well known and excellent with cancer. In Pittsburgh PA, The University of PA is highly recommended.
    There are a lot to choose from, best of luck. I am hoping you have someone helping you with this search. Keep in touch.
