    Sunrae
Hi sunrae, so sorry you are going through this. It does get better. My first A/C treatment sent me into a downward spiral. First 2 days I was tired and nauses and then went down hill. I developed an ear infection that went into both ears and was in so much pain. I had a fever of around 102-103 for 5 days and was throwing up constently. I had to go in for antibitic and dehydration ivs for 5 days. During this I was praying to God to take me. I guess it wasn't my time. My onc changed my poisen (because he said that AC would wreek havoc on me again). I now get half treatments of Taxol every week for 12 weeks. I just finished week 3 and have had no problems, except the normal tiredness and loss of appetite. Talk to your onc to see if there are other non-textbook treatments you can do. Good luck and keep us posted.

    Sunrae, can you get CMF
Sunrae, can you get CMF chemotherapy.? I had that 16 years ago, and some women still get it. It is easier than the more popular therapies therapies. It is cytoxan, methotrexate, and 5FU. It is a milder chemo (not totally easier) but more tolerable. I was thinking of this as I was responding to another thread. Its worth asking about.

I am so sorry Sunrae that
I am so sorry Sunrae that you had these terrible reactions. Hoping that if you continue with chemo, they can give you something that you do well on. Sending you a hug!

This is so sad that this
This is so sad that this happened to you. But, if your doctors think you should stop it and move on to radiation, then, you need to trust in them. Sending you prayers Sunrae!

I saw my onc today and she
I saw my onc today and she checked out my hands, which seem to be drying up now. I'm still peeling but the pain is gone. Prednisone really helped the burning and stinging. I still have big hunks of white skin peeling and falling away. She said after looking over my path report and seeing that I did have 11 positive lymph nodes removed she decided I have a high risk of reoccurrence so she is going to switch me over to cytoxan with taxol (instead of the taxotere), and see how I react to that. I have to see her again in a week about my hands before she lets me start up the treatments again. I'm limited to what chemo I can take because of having 2 blocked arteries which will have to be taken care of after I get out of treatment. In a way I'm glad that she wants me to continue chemo treatments since that has been my thinking all along. So for now I will have a couple of weeks free of any treatments, then back to the grind. Hope taxol will agree with me. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
