I always take my iPhone with me while having chemo and listen to some favourite songs, mainly ballads of the 40's/50's. I usually fall asleep before the second song has finished.0 -

I make my own...It's healing and fun too.
I make my own music, too and as healing as that has been for me, discovering the music of Eva Cassidy was the most moving experience I've had over this turbulent year. Having been in the music business for years, I was mystified how I could have missed her.
Someone sent a youtube video link of Eva to me right after I returned home from treatment early 2011 and I ended up listening to everything she ever recorded and crying non-stop for three solid days.
She and I share the same birth year and she died in '96 of recurring cancer.
Eva's music helped me grieve and heal.

Song
Thinking about songs there is a song that reminds me of my Dad who passed away a few years ago.
“The greatest man I never knew”
that is why I want to be so different to my children, I want to love them and let them know who I am and be with them everyday.

I was not much for music during my treatment, but what did make me feel better was my daughter’s pit bull, she would tip toe over to where I was laying and put her head on my stomach and just stay in that position for hours until I started feeling better. Once I started feeling better she would leave and run out side to start playing. It was like she had some type of perception of how I was feeling
Before the illness I never used to listen to music at all... but in the process of healing I started to listen to christian music. It helped me to relax..0 -
