Rhabdomyosarcoma

My daughter's father who is a disabled VET has Rhabdomyosarcoma an extremely rare cancer. We believe that he got it from Desert Storm. He was stationed in Iraq for six months and we have read articles about linking this cancer to uranium, which is a certain type of metal that was well know and well used over there during that time. Has anyone else heard of this?
Thanks!
Cynthia
