Seeing success with Gemzar!

Finally got my ca125 results from last week and its down to 104!

In February it was up to 256 shortly after starting Doxil. It continued to rise up to 658 by 4/15 :-( one week into Gemzar treatment. Now with just 2 partial treatments(neutrophil counts too low for third, Day 22, infusion in both Apr and May) but nevertheless results!! Lowest it's been in nearly a year. Annie

I am so happy the Gemzar is working for you. There is so much we need to learn about this cancer. My CA 125 came way down after second doxil. Why do some drugs work and some don't for us? there must be something going on there. But I am happy for you. You have a good weekend. I know how happy I felt when the doxil worked for me.

Thanks everyone!!! See my gyn-onc on Tues. I'm curious as to what he will say as he is only checking ca125 monthly to appease me not because he thinks he has any relevance. Of course, I disagree!
