On May 20th, 2010, Dr. Jonathan Simons, CEO of PCF, made a statement before the House Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Defense, regarding the Prostate Cancer Research Program of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs. You can read his testimony here.

Also on hand to provide testimony was Sherry Galloway, a registered nurse who lost her son to prostate cancer. Mrs. Galloway is also a member of ZERO's Board of Directors. You can read her moving in the same place.

good info
bd,
Thanks for posting this informative link about the state of PCa research funding and the PCF's request for add'l funding. Among other things, shocked to learn there are 24 distinguishable types of PCa. Hopefully with Dr. Simons testamony, PCF will be awarded their requested funding. Do you know if their funding request was granted and for how much? As for Sherry Galloway's testamony, pjd and I are the parents of 3 wonderful sons, now adults, so I was moved to tears to read her account of her son's PCa. Hoping you will continue to post pertinent PCa info links.
Best,
mrs pjd
