Excellent Idea
I know the colon club has such a thread. In Memorium 2010 or something like that. Maybe "May we never forget", perhaps members that have passed away in the past could also be added if a member so desires to add their name. Perhaps: name, age, family, and the like would be a nice way of honoring them.
I was thinking of this same thing a few days ago, I only joined last October and a few members who I related to did not make it. It saddens me a lot lately so this tread would be a way of honoring their contribution.

Maybe Greta, who manages the site, could pick up on this and create such a thread or specific board for people to add to- it could include all the types of cancers, including everyone who has posted on CSN (or however they wanted it to be done- including just CSN people or anyone who CSN people want to post?)0 -

Do you mean all cancers or just colorectal? I think Imagine wanted a thread of those we lost to Colorectal. Colon Club does it by year but I don't think that makes a difference, we could just simply include names people wanted to post. Thoughts.

Tina,
I did mean all cancers, but it would actually be nicer for those of us here on the colorectal site to have one just for those whom we knew. I just thought if CSN made the thread site for it, they'd probably just make one site for all the cancers. It might be unmanageable to do it individually for all. If we just made a thread for it ourselves on the colorectal site, then we could certainly do that, but I was thinking of an "official" CSN site memorial thread or something. Maybe we could do both. Whatever the majority think best, sounds good to me.

Thanks. Yes, both would be nice. Wasn't sure what you meant.

Thanks to anyone showing interest in this. It would be nice to see something down those lines but still just thowing it out there for this weekend. I wouldn't expect anything permanent to come about in such short notice so I'm still wondering about this weekend. Since it's a holiday weekend and people are going to be busy maybe it could start on Friday and people could add to it over the four days (keeping it up near the top of the list). My original thought was so people who no longer want to or can't participate on the forum could at least come on during this period anually and follow up with members and I think once members find out about it they would. So, if anyone has time (I know I don't have very much) they could go back and start compiling a list. There were a few members passed just after I joined here who's names I can't recall and I HATE that. A good friend of mine passed away a several years ago from lymphoma and for years I would raise a glass to him when ever our group of friends would get together. After a few years that seemed to slip by and I'm mad when I forget. I know it happens but I don't like to forget those no longer with us. If nothing more, let's at least try for this year.lisa42 said:either way

Gracie, I'm not sure what you're reffering too either. I didn't see any input from you, but I'd like to hear what everone thinks. I guess I could start it on Friday with the couple members I recollect and maybe others will keep it near the top until Monday.
Thanks0
