Home from the hospital!

Had my surgery to remove my NSCLC tumor on Monday and was home on Thursday. Had VATS with removal of my lower left lobe and several lymph nodes. My doctor called yesterday to say they did find evidence in all nodes that were removed, and I meet with my oncologist on Monday to see where we go from here. Oddly I am still feeling very positive and just feel a little beat up from the surgery at this point. I made it out to my granddaughters 6th birthday party today for a couple of hours and did quite well. Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes I know they made the difference in my quick release from the hospital. Doctor said I was the best patient he had ever had! Not so sure my husband is thinking the same thing here at home! I still remember all of you in my prayers every day.

I'm glad you are doing so well, Anita and I'm glad you are feeling positive. Nobody ever called me the "best patient he had ever had," my mother calls me the impatient patient. LOL!! It's good to know you are doing so well. Please stay in touch and let us know how your journey is going.
