Hi there! Well? Yesterday, I went over my pET scan results with my surgeon. He said he is not sure if it is scarring is shows, or still cancer. It has been 7 months since my last radiation treatment, and he feels I should of been healed faster than it shows. So now I am waiting to be booked for a biopsy. I have an appt. with my Oncologist June 15, and will know more then about when. I am praying it is just scar tissue:)Please!! Or...I guess it will be radiation again.

    Hi Cindy

I know it is a scary thing to hear this kind of report, but hang in there as sometimes the PET scan can’t always pick-up and see the different between cancer and scar tissue. Remember I am 5 years passed treatment and all my PET scans and all my biopsies say I still have cancer but the doctors can’t understand why it is not growing and why I am not dead.

Even with the best equipment they have, does not always give the correct information, still a lot of false positive on PET scans.

I will be praying for you

    Yes
I echo Hondo's post, Cindy. My 1-year was clean, but my 3-month supposedly "may have shown something." You are in our Prayers- know that.
