shoulder nerve pain after liver resection

I am having bad shoulder/neck pian since surgery 6 weeks ago. I think it was from the positioning but I just don't knoe what to do about it. any ideas

    I had pain down to the right breast
    Just as the heart sends pain signals via the left shoulder to the brain, the liver sends pain signals via the right shoulder. I had pain down to the right breast. It will go away.

    Wow, I never knew that. So
    Wow, I never knew that. So this is normal?? Is it part of the liver regrowth?

    Hey Christy,

    Someone else mentioned this a while back and said they were told your arm is pulled up well over your shoulder during surgery and damage can be done to the tendons, etc. It was positioning and not liver disease. :-) Ask your surgeon about PT.

    Don't agree!
    I got my info directly from the doc that killed off ½ of my liver. As I had liver chemo embolazation and all the work was performed from my groin area, I think he is right.
