There are two clinical trials going on at MSKCC with PARP inhib but I was told the carbo/gem one was full with a waiting list. Dr. S, at MSKCC, told me it really is aimed towards BRCA postive women. Who is your onc? Is Mom brca positive?

    Hi Nancy
There is a new one opening up thats a PARP inhibitor with ABT 888..which is better because the ABT-888 enhances the action of the TMZ...Do you have an e-mail/phone that we can discuss off-line?

    Lisa,

I have that information. When we went for my 2nd opinion, I was offered to join that study if I qualified.

The sponsor is Abbott Laboratories. You must be in recurrence, never have been on Doxil, BRACA positive and either CA125 above normal or CT scan showing disease.

I have the consent form in hand, I can give you the information by email or phone. Don't want to take up lots of space here or bore anyone! ☺

I believe my email is in my CSN info. I put the kids to bed from 8 till 9pm. So after 9pm is best for me if you wish to talk on the phone. Send me an email and I can give you my number.

Hi Lisa, I put in to be a parp inhibitor at Mayo last year. I have heard good results from it, but unfortunately there was a very long list so never got called. Pray this is the answer for your mom to give her a break. Hugs ♥ Prayers Bonnie
