Know how you feel
It does seem to take forever before the decisions are made and treatment is started but as you said "know that she needs to be thorough, before she can come up with a treatment plan" It's only natural for us to want the treatment ASAP so we can finally start battling this horrible disease.
Best wishes to you and your family.

Vinny,
My Dad was one of those people that didn't go to the Doctor's for any reason. He would take, any over the counter pain pill to get thru the day and then, finally end up in the Hopital.
One day, as I got older, I asked him why he was so stubborn about the Doctors.
His reply was, look at the sign hanging on the front of their buildings, it says "Practice" on it. So, in his mind, the Doctors didn't know what they were doing and were still Practicing on us all. He didn't want to be a test human as he would tell me : ).

Vinny,
I can understand how you feel. The waiting is nerve racking at times. I'm sure your Oncologist wants to be right on target with her decisions.
My Dad's view of Doctors was not always pleasant. For some reason, I found his comment humous and never forgot it.
I hope all goes well for you on Monday. I recently had a Pet Scan and will get the results tomorow.
