National Institute for treatment IL-15
In early June she will start treatment with IL-15. This is new, just approved for clinical trials. It is similar to IL-2, but new and improved. This is unavailble to those who have previously used IL-2.
They also have immunotherapy available.
I recommend anyone who doesn't know about NIH to check it out. We have no idea if this will stop her cancer, but as you all know, this is very tough to treat and these sound promising.

IL-15 Clinical Trial
I spent the last 2 months trying to get into the NIH TIL Therapy Clinical Trial, but I ended up being excluded. It was incredibly disappointing, but prior to leaving the hospital I was introduced to the team that was working on the IL-15. My wife and I have looked over the protocol and decided that this was something we would like to pursue. We are currently waiting to hear back from the research nurse. I wish your family the best and we may see you in June.
If I can help answer any questions for you, I would be happy to try. I might be able to help you with contacts for the travel system and lodging issues.
I would also recommend the NIH to anyone dealing with cancer. The staff and resources available at this institution are some of the best in the world.

Looks like we won't see you there after all. Some test yesterday threw her out of the trial, I haven't heard from the doctor yet. It is very dissapointing to wait over a month, like you, with no treatment, waiting for treatment, only to be declined.
Hope it all goes well for you and let us know, please.
