Hi My Wonderful Invisible Friends!
Having my first nipple reconstructed in the office on 6/19. My doc only does one at a time and then I have to wait 6 weeks before the next one. Then another 6 weeks for tatooing on one side and then ANOTHER 6 weeks for the other tattoo! (didn't want to go under in the hospital-which WAS an option) Is this standard operating procedure? How much pain did you have? How long did it last? Can I wear a bra? (I know my surgeon will cover all this in my appt on 5/18 but I want the real story too!) Thanks for your help!
XXOO,
JoJo

I had my nipple reconstruction under local at the hospital on 2/16/10.
I had no pain from it.
I just had the tattoos done 5/12/10.
My plastic did both of mine at the same time.

hmmm, sounds like a lot of proceedures to me. I just had my breasts done. step one was just to remove the expander and put in the implant on the right breast. Step 2 was to reduce the left breast and put in an inplant to match the right breast. He also made a nipple for the right breast at this time. When it's all healed, he'll do the tatoo's. both at the same time...in office.
