Back to Onc/Gyn past Wednesday

I did go back for my scheduled appointment with my onc/gyn Wednesday and let her know what Dr. Copeland from The James Center had said (previous post). She told me that she had not sent me there to change doctors only to get a second opinion on the sensitive bone marrow!
But she also told me that besides me she has one other cancer patient now and is not taking anymore. She has been transitioning into Wellness/Preventive.
Long story short, I am ready to move on to a cancer center. I believe that is what is best for me especially since she is no longer going to stay in the field. Whether I qualify for the clinical trial or not (CA125 is too low! and I have not had my CTscan will get this Monday) I will still change to a cancer specialist.
I am thankful to have this break (my choice really). I would be having chemo Monday (#15) but Dr. Copeland said my body needed a break and to stop taking Neumega shots. After CT scan than I will make another appointment at The James and go from there.
I am shooting for NED again! ☺

That was my first thoughtnancy591 said:GOOD LUCK
Best of luck to you! Hopefully things will go well!
That was my first thought too....that you might be NED. Would your doctor consider doing a PT/CT scan? They are sooooooo much more reliable for picking up tiny cancer cells/activity.

Smart Choice
Hi Libby, I think your choice is a smart choice. There have been times I said "I nned a break" and then there are times like right now that my body says "I need a break"! We need to listen to both. I pray your new Dr and you are a great fit and that after a break they find you not needing chemo. Hugs ♥ Prayers Bonnie -
Thanks
Thanks for all your encouraging and positive words! I will let you know the results of my CT scans after I find out.
Sure do feel so much better when off of chemo and shots!! So much more energy.
I have only had one PET scan and numerous CT scans. Don't know if that is doctor preference or insurance!
Love you, ladies,
Libby ☺
