Bad News Lisam61
As you remember his NPC cancer was treated but then they found it in his chest. He was taking Chemo and got an infection in his PEG tube that they did not see until it was to late.
God bless and be with you all

God Bless & lots of prayers. Always difficult to lose a loved one to this monster. My Mom has been gone over a year now. Again God Bless Lisa
So true; it is always difficult to lose someone to this crap, so far I lost this month 3 very good friends and all of them to lung cancer. I only new Mr Luis by speaking to him on the phone, I never meet him in person, we had planned to do that when he got better.
In speaking with Lisa last night she is very broken up over his death, only natural after they had been together for so long. What a wonderful person she is and what a wonderful guy Luis was, I am glad for one thing that they both had faith in God as there savior and can look forward to that day in heaven where there is no more sickness, death, or anything like Cancer.
Thanks for your prayers0 -
Prayers outbound
Hondo,
Thank you for posting this news, even though we would much rather hear good reports. My Prayers have been sent outbound for Lisam61 and her family.
Unfortunately, those of us here, will continue to look over our shoulders for the enemy we have had to deal with. But, we go on, with our scars from the battle. By doing so, we continue to give hope to those that hear the words " You Have Cancer " for the first time. We continue to be on patrol to guide the new members through this rough path.
My Best to Each and Everyone Here0 -

Marine and Hondo, thank you both so much for always being here for new comers and us old (lol) members who have/will fight the battel with the big C. You both seem to know exactly what to say to keep people in a positive mood so they are able to be strong and fight the battle. I, for one, greatly appreciate your posts and feel the definitely help us all when we begin to feel overwhelmed. Thank you for all you posts and more importantly, for TRULY caring!!!
God Bless,

I think you guys were the first two to welcome me here. I appreciate it. I tend to get a bit anxious at times and I am glad that I have the people here to keep me off the pity path for too long anyway. You guys always seem to have the knack of saying the right and caring thing. Thanks. And thank you to everyone here. You have all given me a better quality of life.0 -

Perhaps we, who know of the battle(s) Luis fought, with Lisa by his side, are the ones who are cut the deepest by this news. To Lisa, of course- the greatest of condolences are in order. Luis was one of us, Folks. All it takes is the thought of that name, in Prayer, and you will have given him all that you can, now. To have fought the battle, and then for such as a PEG infection to do what it did- yes, this does cut deep.
Amen, Hondo

Our job as survivors is to help others become survivors too, and like Kent said it does cut deep when we allow ourselves to get close to someone and they pass away. But for me the friends I make here will also be the friends I have up there in a land where there will be no more cancer, sickness, or death. And if I am wrong and there is no heaven then I will have lived a good life here and tried my best to help everyone who allow me to come into there path. We were all looking forward to meeting when Luis got over his treatment, now it will have to wait until we meet in heaven.
God bless you all0 -

Hondo you have quite a way with words. The heartful expressions, support and concern you show for others is an inspiration. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lisa and her family.0 -
Lisa will be in my prayers
Lisa will be in my prayers and I'm so sorry for her loss. I agree with you, Hondo, it hurts to lose a friend but they certainly improve our lives while they are here.
God Bless,
