loss of appetite

My mother was recently diagnosed with lunch cancer and she has loss her appetite. Any suggestions to stimulate appetite other than medicine.

    Do you mean lung cancer?
    You didn't give us much to go on, janita :) Is it chemo that takes away her appetite? Because if she is nauseous from it she can speak to the nurses about adding anti-nausea meds to her chemo.

    The only non-drug I know of that can help stimulate appetite is ginger, but you should talk to the doctor before you use it - it also acts as a blood-thinner.
