On the advice of my surgeon...

I went and got a mammogram on Friday since he was telling me that breast cancer and colon cancer are about a gene away from each other.

Well, I have to tell you that getting your boob smashed between a 'tire on a hummer and the ground' isn't any fun, but at the hospital I work at, they have a radiologist read them immediately when you're done. I knew my results in less than 10 minutes. Good news is my boobs are flat, but they're healthy. :)

    Hey Holly
Glad the news was good. Had it done in November and all was fine. Didn't know about the gene thing but there were a couple of gals on Colon Club that had breast cancer following colon cancer.

    Take care - Tina

    Flat boobs
I'm glad you're clear! I just had my latest mammogram recently. It's a relief to have it done and get to go home and whimper a little, isn't it? Crikey, those suckers hurt! Glad you got a good result, though!

    *hugs*

    Yeowch!
Hahaha! Not funny, really- I always thought each time I get my mammogram- man, if there isn't already something wrong with my boobs, there will be now after being smashed and pulled so much. Mine aren't that big, so it seems like they have to stretch them and pull them each time so they can see- yeowch! Floppy now, but healthy- lol!

    Ouch! I'm not laughing!!
    Ha Ha!
My wife says that if men had to undergo the equivalent of a mamogram to test for testicular or prostrate cancer they would have invented a better machine by now! Probably true!

    Glad you are clear Holly.

All the very best... Rob; in Vancouver

    Surgeon's Advice
Glad that everything went well. A mammogram is no joke. When the machine is mashed down on your boob, the technician says don't move, as if I could. As we get older, we just need more tune ups. Take care and keep smiling.

    Peace and Blessings,
    Karen
