4 day Hospital stay :( update on my nutty doctor to

ok so i went to our family doctor who saw i lost 25 pounds in a week and due to throwing up and knowing me for close to 6 years she knew this was not right she called the cancer doctor who yelled at her badly finly they admited me to the Hospital on the cancer ward again, my doctor called the GI doctors in who ran loads of testing and xray the 1st one was done my 2nd day at the Hospital they druged me up and then put a tube down my mouth to get a good look they said this test went ok but they did fine red stuff.

they did a test this morning where i ate eggs and tost they then do a xray every 15 mints for 2 hours to see how my food was going down.

of course they said this was not Normal and that i need to eat smaller meals each day just handfuls of food at once and eat more each day.we was in the works of switching doctors when they came in and proclamed all of a sudden i cant switch my care because the only other doctor is in iowa city over 3 hours from here now im at a lost as to what to think or do im confused by all of what is going on with this part of my care other then that the eating the throwing up and feeling sick they proclam has nothing to do with my surgery but more of a bowl problam or med problam they turly had no answers and still didnt no

so after 4 days of feeling like a test RAT im happy to report im back HOME

so who knows what is next i dislike this crap

April I am so sorry you are having such problems
Glad you went to the hospital, but sorry you do not have any answers for you throwing up all the time. That does not sound right. I hope that you are able to eat smaller amounbts and it does stay down. You said it is a bowel problem. Have your bowels moved the last few days? What kind of bowel movements are you having....diarrhea or hard stools, or no stools? I am sure you are glad to be back home. Hope you begin to feel better. In peace and caring.

i read your letter and i just had to put my 2cents in.
i have uteran cancer stage 4 i was diag. in late 2008. i wanted to tell u that i was vomiting like u and lost a lot of weight before i was diag. i got to where i could not eat at all by the time i was diag. i was really sick. my doctor at that time could not find what was wrong with me until i had a tumor the size of a tennis ball. finally after all the mis diag. and all the meds. and test they finally did a cat scan and found the tumor.
by this time it was really bad and then i was sent to a gyn/onc specialist that my hmo at first would not let me go to until it was so bad. they wanted me to stay right there in my county but i was so bad they had to let me go.
hmo sucks, they will let u die before wanting to let u go .
im not saying that what happen to me is happening to u but i want to warn u to check and make sure u get a cat scan and make sure theres not a tumor .
this tumor they found in me was pushing on my bowel they thought it was attached but it was not.
im praying none of this is happening to u but i thought telling u my experience might help

Diane mentioned run some more tests, but didn't you have enough tests to find a tumor? I'd think you did, but possibly not per what Diane saw with her situation.

Sorry you're dealing with this and hoping you can now keep some food down. Amazing how you can have a few days stay at a hospital and they find nothing....wild to me!!!

Hi ladys

Ya they ran a cat scan and all of that on me finding nothing beside i was having problams with my bowls i kept asking if it could be i was not healing right or maybe if i had got some kind of flu bug or any type of bug and maybe it was hard on my body while trying to heal the doctor kept saying nope it made no since to him my husband and i thought this guy was a jerk his name is Jay W Carlson in Des moines with DR turners office u can check him out but he is right i did alot of research i would have to go to iowa city to change doctors and cant aford to make that long of a drive sadly.

but they said my food wasnt going down right at all normley it takes 90 mints for food to go through mine took alot longer they put me on some meds to help with the sick feeling so it helps i take it every 6 hours

i got my self off the pain pills well i take one at bed time but other then that i take nothing for pain to help me as i use to go days with out going to the bathroom

but since i stoped all pain meds beside at bedtime i went three times today hard stools but norly its runny ( not to sound nasty )

but i get very bad cramping before i have to go

im still having pain in my lower tummy

so far im keeping my foods down and my drank to. i dont no why i was having such a hard time but i sure hope i get beter

bad thing is i start radition in a few weeks im not looking forward to that i want my body to heal 1st from the surgery

Dian im sorry your stage 4 my husband had to aunts 1 was stage 1 one was stage 4

im stage 1A grade B utraus cancer i dont understand grades but he said my tumor was very big

acording to my doctor i still have cancer for at lest 5 years im not understanding WHY since he got all he could see anyways why am i not in remison ? my couisn had cancer she went in to remison right away she hasnt heard the words cancer free yet but shes in remison

so why is it he clams i have cancer for 5 years then ill here remison ?

not understanding all of this happen so fast

its some drug

its some drug called Meclizine its spose to help you not to get nausea and or vomit u take it every 6 hours but not more then 4 times in a day it helps some what i havent vomited yet but i do get nausea still and i do sitll feel sick to my tummy so im not fully sure if it works as good as its spose to LOL

the GI doctor is the one who gave me the meds.
