Mine has returned also pretty fast. It just means that the treatment did not kill all the cancer cells. No ones fault. Go here for help on this. http://www.cancer.org/docroot/MLT/content/MLT_4_1x_When_Your_Cancer_Comes_Back_-_Cancer_Recurrence.asp

Hi chulitalady
Believe me I know your pain as I have been there with my cancer coming back three times. It is not easy for you to understand how your dad feels right now; he is in a depression stage and feels that no matter what he does the cancer will win in the end. You need to get him talking to a consular or someone to help him get out of the going to die anyway thinking.
Also there are other form of cancer treatment besides radiation and chemo. Like I said my cancer came back three times and the last time I refused any more treatment and I am still here 5 years later.
Take care and keep us up dated on your dad -

What treatment did you opt for on second go round? You said you refused treatment last time, what stage was cancer in? Did you check into any Clinical Trials to see whats new?
Take care,
