My girlfriend was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time a week ago. She was a 13 year survivor. We were not together then and the only reminder was her breast gone. Now it is stage 4 and has gone into her chest and lung. Waiting for doctors and tests to determine treatment is so hard. I try to act normal or at least upbeat and positive around her but I am freaking out inside. I am glad I found this site as I really have no one else to vent to. I have so many questions, is she going to recover? How long will she be able to work? Is there some type of disability pay? Our insurance is not that great, what do we do so we do not lose our house with the medical bills? So much goes through the mind. Anyone have any advice?
