Herceptin

I am curious to know if anyone with Uterine Serous Carcinoma has ever tried Herceptin? It was brought up in one of our appointments with our onc and in doing further research, I found several articles that talk about using it with much success for UPSC. One article was even titled "HER2/neu overexpression: has the Achilles’ heel of uterine serous papillary carcinoma been exposed?". It was written back in 2003 and since it doesnt seem to be part of the normal protocol, I would love to hear your feedback. I understand that Herceptin is typically used for Her2 positive breast cancer, however, our onc mentioned that UPSC is commonly Her2 positive and that an immunostaining of positive p53 might be enough to warrant trying it out for advanced or recurrent UPSC...

Kind Regards,

Amanda
