    psa
hubbie's psa at the highest was 3.7 and very little enlargement of prostate, yet, 1 of 12 biopsies positive for cancer. PSA is not necessarily an indicator of cancer. It is a guideline.

    Sounds like
Severe back pain and weight loss could indicate bone metatases.
I have bone metastases, and I had those symptoms before the metastases were diagnosed. Treatment is usually very effective in relieving the pain.
