Do you drink herbal teas?

I was wondering if anyone here drinks herbal teas to help maintain/improve kidney health. If so, what do you drink? Yogi makes one called "Peach Detox" that claims to improve kidney and liver health.

Green or Chamomile
I am a coffee drinker in the morning but I drink green tea or chamomile tea in the evenings sometimes. My kidney function has been good so far.
I've been focusing mostly on eating whole foods and drinking a lot of water as my main dietary strategy. I eat a lot of produce and whole grains. For meats, only the leanest cuts and I try to eat a vegetarian 1 to 2 times per week.0 -
Herbal Teas
I had my right Kidney removed early January. As a result I have re organised my diet completely, drinking herbal teas, at least 1 ltre Vegetable juices a day, reduced Red meats to 1-2 meals per week among other things. I din't think I could handle the Herbal teas as had a bad experience with the some years ago. Strangely I am enjoying the tea's and Vege juice, I am sure this is physiological as I feel better just knowing I am looking after myself. This over rides any of the so called bad tastes. Actually I like the taste' and that is because I know it's good for me. The best apparently is "Green" tea.
The vege juice certainly gives me a boost,I have a glass three times a day(approx 2 litres)and feel a lot better for a while. I suffer from anxiety attacks since the operation, the teas etc calm me down a bit.

my husband is the one with stage IV grade 3 rcc. We have been vegetarian for many years, then eating fish but only soy for dairy products. We are and have been for 3 years now vegan. We drink coffee but green tea too. We need to drink more green tea.
I think a very healthy diet with little to no red meat, as much organic fruits and vegetables as possible with lots of whole grains and you would be good for everyone but especially cancer patients. We are also now on calorie restriction. Check that out on the web. I think this is very good for cancer patients too0 -
herbal teas
I was stage IV, head and neck cancer. Finished radiation and chemo in February. I have been drinking my own herbal tea blend for some time now, here is a link to my blog, http://dailydosesofdeb.blogspot.com/ if you're interested. I write about my day to day recovery activities, how I feel, little coping tips I've discovered, and I post a lot of times about the different herbs that I have here on my little farm, that I use in my teas. I think they have helped, and at least I know they are healthy for me.0 -
herbal tea
I drink herbal tea regularly since last one and half year. I had kidney problem and our family doctor suggest me to drink herbal tea and it's really worked for me and I had survived from the kidney problem. I had visited http://www.your-cup-of-tea.com/herbaltea.html for further information and getting best knowledge. This is might be helpful for you.0 -
teas, food etc.
I drink one cup of coffee in the am but then I drink organic Tazo Ginger tea as it's good for my digestion. I also find chamomile and chai soothing. I try to get in as much liquid as possible. I am 4 weeks post surgery. One friend said lemon was good for your electrolytes so it goes in my tea and can't hurt. I'm basically vegetarian and have been for years along with eating our own fresh vegies and organic grains etc. Some websites say coffee adds to your hydration---some do not but I do drink a cup in the morning. It seems the days after surgery I couldn't get enough liquid but now that has leveled off but I'm still very careful about my liquid intake. I don't have a large appetite yet and small meals, soup etc. seem best anyway. Too bad I do like that soothing small bowl of frozen yogurt at night. I probably have this false pretense that it helps me get thru the hard nights!
Thanks for all the posts. I don't comment much but I find it valuable reading about other's experiences in this hard fight recovering from kidney cancer. I'll try to post more often.
