Just heard the news that Dixie Carter died of uterine cancer. Very sad! The article did not say what type or how long she had been fighting the cancer.

    Yes, I just read this myself. It was like a cold slap to read she had passed from Uterine cancer....

    I hope she did not suffer for too long :(

    I loved to watch Designing Women....I have to see if that show ever came out on DVD...

    Oh no!
    All I've heard is died of cancer, never heard what kind. Oh so very sad and boy it truly strikes a cord with most of us, doesn't it?

    I'd love to know more on her issues with cancer...how long had it, etc.

    Anne Bancroft also passed due to uterine cancer a few years back.

    Heard today on my local
    Heard today on my local SoCal news that it was endometrial cancer - definitely caught my ear :-(
