Hi I am new to this board but have been on the breast cancer board for a while.
I had a pelvic and vaginal ultrasound 2 years ago due to heavy bleeding. Last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and my GYN had me go back for ultrasounds again. Apparantly they had noticed something was not right from the previous year's test but had never told me. The results showed nothing unusual.
Well now a year later my GYN says my uterus lining is thickened, so I had another ultrasound last week. Now I have to have a uterine biopsy on Wednesday. I have been reading everything I can and worrying over this. If it is Uterine cancer, will I have to have chemo again? Radiation? I am hoping my GYN will just do a hysterectomy no matter what the results. I take Taxotere so I am at risk even if it comes up negative now, I don't want to take any more chances. On top of this, I have found a new lump in my breast and it is painful, just like last year. I will be seeing my radiation Oncologist Friday. I am getting pretty scared.
Don't mean to whine, I just needed to get this out! Thanks for listening.

Sending out to you my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I think without all the information (results of the biopsy) you should not get ahead of yourself. Hormones can affect our linings in addition to other things. Ask them for a complete workup. Also ask if a D & C is more warranted than a biopsy. Biopsies take such a small piece of tissue, it can be error prone in some cases.
I am sure the new lump is upsetting...hoping your news gets better
Hang in and please keep us posted!
