TUESDAY: Update on Patti
Posted 1 hour ago
The past 48 hours have been good to Patti and she is showing her trademark spunk again. Her physical, occupational, and speech therapies are going very well and the therapists have remarked that they are pleased with her progress. Her swallowing has improved and she is now on a puree diet. She is also able to count to 20. Patti is very much looking forward to a visit from Ally and Austin today. (Today is Austin's birthday. Happy birthday, Austin!)
Patti's primary oncologist returns from vacation tomorrow and we are anxious to set a course of action for her cancer treatment.

From Tuesday evening
Just got this from Patti's dear friend.

Thought I'd let you know that Patti is doing better. We took our boys up to see her this afternoon. She is getting therapies and her diet is gradually being increased to thicker consistencies. She walked a short distance today with a walker. I believe she is scheduled to get chemo tomorrow- Erbitux, pray it goes well!
Thanks again for your prayers and concern. She is remarkable and how far she has come in just a week. I just wish we could get rid of the cancer and all of her challenges she is having to face right now!
