Congratulations on a job well done. Sounds like you are living life to the fullest. My husband was diagnosed just a week before you, Stage IV also, and is doing very well.
I have a question, what is a TACE procedure?
Take care - Tina

Trans arterial chemo embolization. They went into my liver by route of the femoral artery (artery in the groin) and injected 40 times the amount of chemo that I get orally directly into the liver tumor. It didn't work well for me. I had been put on oral chemo for three months and the lymph nodes showed "considerable growth in tumor bulk", so it could have worked but the liver tumors had started to grow as well as the lymph nodes on the Xeloda. Thye might try again later this yr. So now Folfiri. I live every day to the fullest, I work full time and love to go camping and am going to a dancing event on Sunday, plan to dance all afternoon!

A Great Milestone
Hi Patsy,
It is little milestones like this that remind us how wonderful it is to be alive!

Screw the stats, we are changing them
Pat,
I am one year ahead of you also stage 4, DXed 4/08. I had the liver chemo embolazation 12/08. I have had a total of 5 scans since then. 2 CT, 2 Pet and one that just looked for radioactivity after injection. All were NED. Keep active and keep the great attitude. This is a battle you can win. Screw the stats, we are changing them.

Congratulations
Congratulations. Just think a year goes by and a whole new outlook on life. Life is good, enjoy each and everyday.
My husband's date was on the 8th of April. Felt good to see that stressful year end and hope never to have another like it.
Take care and God Bless. Margaret0 -

Thanks for explaining the TRACE. I haven't heard that term before. I hope the Folfiri works well for you. Keep it going. Best to you, Paula
Congrats on your persistence in achieving 12 rounds of folfox. My husband just finished his 12 rounds of chemo also and on April 5 was NED. We are hoping for the best. And the best to you also.0
