today is my birthday and i am celebrating. . .

i finished chemo last thursday and am celebrating that too! i have a group of friends from church that have gotten together for the past seven years for dinners at each other's homes. they are coming over with dinner and i baked the desserts. i invited a whole bunch of other friends to join us for dessert and drinks later this evening. it will be the first time since mid-december when all this started, that i have more than one person in my house at one time! now if only i could rid of the yucky taste in my mouth so i can enjoy the food as well as the company!

    Have a wonderful Birthday!
    And if you find your taste buds don't let you enjoy your cake and ice cream like you should, then just give yourself an "unbirthday" once your taste returns and savor the flavor!

    In the meantime, enjoy the company and the double celebration!

    Thank you to all you wonderful people! It was a fantastic day filled with friends, food, flowers, and lots of love! Of course, I was unbelievably wiped out the next day, spent it in my nightgown, sleeping off and on and reading. But it was totally worth it!
