Louann's friend said the doctors found a very small and inoperable tumor in her liver and are putting in a stint to release the bile this afternoon. She's still yellow, in a lot of pain and very itchy.

Louann doesn't have computer access at the hospital.

Why itchy? Is it the area of her tummy where her liver is that is itchy? I only ask because sometimes I catch George scratching his tummy, area of liver and often wondered if it meant anything. I know, I know, I overthink everything.

Thank you for this update. I'll post a note on her caring bridge.

    Thanks Tina

    Itchy
Liver problems and diabetes can cause itching. Dry skin can cause ithcing, tho. She's itchy all over. Louann is a 'brittle' diabetic but the itching is supposedly from the blocked bile duct.

well they told me it was the bile not going through the liver and a build up of it and I itched from head to toe.
