That happened to me too...
When mine started to grow back during chemo, it was like...stubble..only to be smooth again after I had my next chemo (with TAC!) I had my last chemo on 10/30 and my real hair started to grow in late November/early December and it was downy soft...not like the hair I would get between chemos. ;-)

I started A/C 3/10/09 then went to Taxol w/Herceptin and didn't finish that round until 7/23/09 and my hair started to grow back in June. I got my first haircut in November and going for my second one next week.
My hair came in very soft like a baby hair and still soft but very thick. Curly in the back and sides but straight on the top. Not as straight as it was before chemo.
As you can see God gave me natural white highlights and I love them.

me too
Rene, I've had 4 TAC cocktails with 2 more to go...I shaved my head to a smooth finish. Twice I have felt that stubble so I shaved really smooth again. I wanted to make sure I was getting a real smooth finish and sure enough, more stubble. I'm not shaving again..I'm going to outlast the stubble...and hopefully it's really hair begging to grow again. I keep my head covered all the time...but smooth feels better than the 5 o'clock shadow. My head is so white...if only it had a tan, it wouldn't be so scary looking.
Next TAC is April 8...when is yours?

Hi Jacque, I just shaved my head the one time in January when it started shedding real bad. I do have like a light stubble righr now. Then, I just use a baby shampoo and a little vitamin e oil. My next TAC is April 16. Looks like I'm a week behind you. Then, I'm supposed to have radiation.
Kepp in touch!
