Govenor Beshear made it official---April 2010 is Esophageal Cancer Awareness & Prevention Month in Kentucky!

PRAYERS for all those people that are affected by this disease (including my dad & uncle and all those here on CSN) and for more research funding to improve treatment, early detection & prevention.

If you want to contact your governor and ask for this, I can help. I am just hoping little by little maybe as awareness improves, so will funding for research...

Also---so far it seems like my dad is doing well on his clean up oral Xeloda chemo...may actually be beginning to gain weight he thinks!. It was so neat to hear my mom say "your dad went out on a fire call"! He is a volunteer firefighter and has been for 40 years I think (just light duty right now). My uncle is still having tests and will be going for second opinion to Tampa FL Moffitt Ctr.

I can't wait to see my parents again --1st week in april with my whole family. I have warned the kids that "Papa is skinny---but doing well!"
