All,
Thank you to everyone for their prayers, thoughts and advice during this journey with EC and my dad. My dad went for his pet scan yesterday after finishing his first course of chemo (Taxol and Carboplatin) - re was staged as T3N1M0 (one lymph node involved).
The preliminary results are that his lymph node now shows no activity, there is no activity anywhere else in his body and his tumor at the gastric junction shows a decreased activity from 10 to 4. He meets with his doctors next wednesday to get the full report and discuss the next phase of chemo and radiation, but I think that this is indeed good news that his body is reacting to the chemo.
Again thanks to everyone for everything. You are all wonderful.
Hugs,
Cindy
