Thought you would be interested to know a study posted yesterday on the ovarian cancer national alliance shows:
CONCLUSION: Our study has shown that PET/CT is a sensitive tool to assist in the early identification and recurrent ovarian cancer, amenable to secondary cytoreduction
A PET/CT is what caught my reoccurance early. My oncologist told me last week that I may still have been undiscovered to this day if it wasnt' for the PET. My reoccurence is still very small and undected on the CT alone.
