Hernia Surgery

Just to let you know that I am doing fine, the surgery was a breeze, I was in pain for about 5 days but it has lessened. What turned out to be a small hernia was a lot bigger once they got in there. But I was out before I entered the surgery room and awake and back about two hours later. They let me wake up naturally, on my own. I should be good to go in a couple weeks, right now my belly really hurts but I am skipping one of the pain pills in order to evetually be off of them and tolerate the mild pain with advil.


On another note, today is the anniversary of my grandson's passing, he would be 6 years old, he died as an infant, 4 month just stopped breathing one day. We miss him lots! On this day every year my daughter and husband bake cupcakes with the kids and have pizza, then they each let a helium balloon go up in the sky, each balloon has a special message to BABY J.

After we set off the balloons, I told my daughter to look up at the clouds and there above us was an image of an angel with the biggest wings! I am still in shock over seeing it. We took lots of pictures.

    The surgery is over now on to healing. Hope all goes well. I'm sorry about your grandson, my niece was pregnant with identical twin boys, was in the hospital, and one of the boys was there one minute and gone the next. Many, many years later I swear I can still see the pain in her eyes as her son's birthday approaches. It was hard to celebrate the birth on one child while the other did not make it.

    Rememberances for you and your family today as you mark the anniversary of Baby J today - I know this is a deep pain for you and your family, and I have often read you speaking about this before. How wonderful that you can honor the memory with your "rememberances" of this child with your family.

    wanted to release a cyber balloon for your grandsons passing. How sad, yet a beautiful way of remembering him. I want to see the pics of the angel, that sounds so gorgeous!

    So glad to hear the hernia surgery went well. I had a similar procedure last June.

    I can't imagine anything worse than the loss of a child. Remembering your family and Baby J today.
