I am glad
You are seeking other opinions. It never ceases to amaze me how many different opinions and treatment options different places have. I know that not all of them (even the big NCI centers) have or do all of the treatment options available, so it is good you are seeking other opinions. DO keep us posted. I too googled it and it looks great.
You are in my prayers, always.

What did her other two opinions tell her? Anything different than what she is currently doing. It is interesting to read what other opinions offer? Let us know if you get the time. George, like you sister, also has mets to the liver and lungs so I am interested in what other centers have to offer. If you can't respond on this thread, send me a pm. - Thanks Tina0 -

Thanks for the responses. My sister actually posted this about me.
Tina, the other institutes have basically said the same thing. I was DX a year ago. Like your husband I have had a good response to chemo and continue to work and feel good.
The doctors have said that I am not a candidate for surgery because of the lung mets. My local oncologist just added Avastin to my Xeloda. I have not had a scan in a while. In Jan when I had my lung mets biopsied they did a CT scan but it was at a different hospital and wasn't compared to the last one. My local Onc looked at it and said nothing looked remarkable on the report. I have been nervous because my last scan that was compared to others was in November. My scan on the FOLFOX showed lots of reduction in liver mets and once on Xeloda everything was stable. I am hoping the Avastin will produce good results.
I feel good, have a 14 year old daughter and a job I love and I want to find the best treatment.
