    Lets talk about amofostine again
    Any new thoughts on Amofostine?

    I'm A Believer...
    Monkees....

But I also am a believer, in that it helped me in various ways.

I did get my saliva back after losing both taste and saliva, saliva is still little while sleeping though.

But, I think what it helped me most with was not having the thick mucositis and choking phlegm that I read so much about.

Actually, that was the main intent of my chemo MD prescribing it, more so than saliva retention...the saliva was just a possible added bonus.

Although in my reading, kind of the opposite of Hal's findings, although his expereince and reaction was pretty fast.

Most what I have read states the most people can't finish the entire regime', though some do of course.

I ended up giving them up at around 30 of 35... I was getting extreme fever swings, temps as high as 102.7 twice.
