Update on Tjhay
My ultrasound that was suppose to be b4 my gyn appt will not happen till April 21st. Hoever I saw my Gyn this last Monday. I told them all that was going on and before I knew it there were 1 doctor, and 3 residents (are they doctors yet) in the room and it was decided that besides just a pap they were also going to do a biopsy on my uteren wall. Now some of you may be asking how they do that as an in office procedure. Well I am going to tell you. They take a tube and push it up through you cervix then they keep poking at your uteren wall collecting materal, it is sort of like poking a potato with a small straw the potato breaks off and is forced into the straw. Well me being the difficult person that i am they did not get enough material the first time so they had to do it again. Now I dont usualy complain, I rarely admit to pain. This procedure though hurt like hell, I think the table will forever have my finger indentaions in it. Afterwards they gave me an asprin, told me that I would experince bleeding and cramping. Well by the time I got home i climbed into bed and whined to my girlfriend. I dont think she quite knew what to do with my whineing. Any ways it will be several weeks before they get the results and then they wont contact me till after the ultra sound, that is unless the biopsy comes back funky.
I am sorry that I dont have more informaiton to pass on, esp happy information. But we all know that it is a major waiting game and we all get to be very good at it

TJ,
You have indeed had
TJ,
You have indeed had quite the adventure and not in a pleasant way. I am in awe that you did this biopsy as a office procedure. When they suspected I had uterine cancer they did an out patient D&C and I was out because I told them I would not do any procedure without being knocked out. After your description I am so glad I did. I had a friend that did hers in the office and her experience was exactly like yours. I am sorry you have to wait so long to hear about the results and my prayers will be that all is okay and it is not uterine cancer. Please keep us updated.

Sorry that your biopsy was so painful. I've had a few of them done in the doctor's office, and sometimes there is no pain and other times it's almost unbearable. What they forget to tell you is that you should take a couple Advil about 1/2 hour before you have the test, so the pain relief can be working when they are doing the test.

TJ, thanks for the update.
TJ, thanks for the update. It doesn't sound like a walk in the park by any means but I'm glad they are being proactive and testing you. I'll be hoping for benign results. As we all know too well, the waiting is the worst part. I can't believe though that you have to wait for these results until after the ultrasound that is over a month away?? Oh well, take care of yourself and don't be a stranger.0 -

Sorry for your pain. I had similar procedure in December. it took me two days to recover with Tylenol. My biopsy came back negative. My doc has an ultrasound machine in his office. Since I am on Tamoxifen he does pelvic ultrasound every visit.
Wishing and praying your biopsy comes back negative and you conditions improve soon.

TJ,
This sounds so painful and unpleasant. I'm so sorry. I hate when they spring things on you at an office visit before you have time to really think about it. At least you got it over with. I am confident that these results will come back benign and then you can rest easy. For now, the waiting game sucks, but try to fill your month with enjoyable things and treat your body very well. We look forward to hearing good news.
