uncoordinated

I have finished nine months of treatment (a/c dense dose x4, taxol 12 weeks and rads 33). I feel a bit uncoordinated and wonder if anyone else had this side effect. I actually fell done the other day when I tripped over a rock (more like a pebble) and couldn't catch myself. I have never been a graceful gazelle but this seems to be worse now. Does this go away?

Yes it goes away
I had that, too. Had to be careful walking on smooth surfaces! My hands also grew very weak and clumsy. I can't tell you the number of times I knocked over all the pill bottles trying to get to one of my many prescriptions. Chemo messes with our balance. Hang in there and be careful in the meantime!

Me too!
Like you, I've never had the nickname of "Grace", except in jest, but the other day I almost tipped over in the shower twice just trying to dry myself off.
Thanks for posting Mimi - I'm glad to hear this will go away. I don't need any help being klutzy. I do fine all on my own!
Tak care,

I had the same problems. I was always tripping at work on a smooth surface floor. Md put me on neurotin. Seems to be helping. She said it was from the Taxol, it should go away. Keeping my fingers crossed!0 -
It is Normal
Unfortunately it is normal. I still lose my balance from time to time and get light headed. Although my co-workers might think I already had that problem long before chemo. Take it slow and make sure you hold on to handrails when you go up and down stairs.

I think it is a real side effect. It will probably just take some time for you to not feel this way. Good luck and hope it goes away soon for you!0
