Confused Girl
Congratulations on the birth of your daughter. Thank goodness your Dad knew he was a Grandpa! I am sorry for your loss of your Dad. You have had many life changes in a short period of time and then this health issue on top. Not an easy time for you that is for sure.
I would get a second opinion from a gynecologist/oncologist. Your issues are not related to obstetrics. If you have vaginal dysplasia you want to make sure that you don't have abnormal cells in the vagina as well. OB is fine for delivery of baby but now you have abnormal cells you should get a specialist. Don't just mess with the creams as your pathology reports are getting worse and not better. If there is a women's healh center at a University Hospital near you that might be the place to go as they usually have reproductive health clinic and gyne/onc in same clinic. Check out medline.gov or pubmed.gov and search cervial dysplasia for more information.

thanks so much for
Lori,
thanks so much for advising me to get a second opinion, my husband and I have been thinking about it but wern't sure. I think thats definatley the next step to take. I'll also be checking out the local university hospitals too like you suggested. Its so nice to get some advice. Just feel so frustrated right now and would just love an answer! thank you so much for taking the time out to get back to me, I really appreciate it. I just recently moved to the area so I literally just picked the first OB/GYN I found. my old OB/GYN was the one who told me about the abnormal pap smear and told me to go and see someone. so confusing0 -
vaginal dysplasia
Hi there. I too have moderate vaginal dysplasia and I went to an gyn oncologist. He had me " change the inverment" of the vagina by douching with salt water then vingar water.Salt in the morning vinegar in the pm for 2weeks along with the aldara creme, which by the way scared the *&^% out of me. He had a whole recipe for me. He also put me on 2000mg of vitamin C. 1000 in the morning, 1000 in the pm. along with echinacia 400, 400 E, a multi vitamin. no smoking. no stress. ha yea right. Any way i did not use the creme long because it scares me but my paps have been coming back negative for 9 months. I go today for another one. If it comes back pos. I like the idea of a second opinion at a university hospital. good luck and let me know of any treatments you are doing now. thanks Beth0 -

I like that your doctor used some natural methods to help your body to heal. I would like to find a doctor, or nutritionist.......someone to advise me on boosting my body's natural healing.
Thanks ladies for sharing and hang in there! We are all in this together!!!0 -

Its so good to hear that im not the only confused person here!! The Aldara is really scary and it did not make any changes for me! (only negative if anything!) I did try the efudex but it had really bad side effects so i just quit it! I have my next pap smear next week so just hoping it comes back normal! Thats an interesting idea about the douching, im def gonna speak to my doctor about it! I actually tried some Ayurveda treatment too (when I stopped the efudex) so lets see what comes about with my next biopsy. Its great to hear that your paps are coming back negative! good for you! thanks! confused girl!0
