Countdown to surgery

Well, this will probably be my last post for a week or so. I’ll be leaving tomorrow afternoon to travel to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh for my Esophagectomy which is scheduled for Monday morning. I’ve gotten quite a lot of excellent information and support from all of you and I sincerely thank each of you for that. I’ll be looking forward to giving you all an update in a few days.
I really feel good at this point, both physically and emotionally. I’m not one to usually believe in premonitions and such but I had an amazing dream a week ago and after I woke up I could remember every detail of the dream and I had this overwhelming sense of peace and contentment, and I still do today. I’m sure that everything will work out fine for me after all this shakes out. I wish I could pass some of this over to some of you who are suffering at this point.
My Ice cream is melting so better say “Adios” for now. See you all after I exorcise “The Beast”
All of my best to you all.
Michael

Hi Michael,
My prayers and very good thoughts go with you for a safe trip and a smooth and easy surgery with no bumps etc. That is so neat about your dream, maybe God is giving a picture of smooth sailing for the surgery. Hope all goes well and you are back here telling us how you did.
Prayers and hugs from across the miles.
