My CA is 6.1 :-D finally!!!!
Wanted to let you know that my treatments are complete, and my CA is now 6.1 (3.5-17.0 is the scale).
I'll now have a CT Scan to see if things are "clear", and whether or not I'm officially in
"remission". (!)
I'm so scared to get my hopes up; as it's come back on me 3 times, for a total of 4 chemo sessions. But I am also VERY determined to keep it at bay~ somehow!
I'm looking forward to growing my hair back, getting an appetite again, and LIVING again!
~I wish this for ALL of us.
Love & (((Hugs)))
~Susan xoxo
p.s. My Dr. had mentioned continuing me on only Avastin, but he said that after seeing the preliminary results just last week from the Research Studies on Avastin, he doesn't think it'll help at this point, but that we're "keeping that in our back pockets for later".
(the round I just finished was 6 doses of Taxol/Carbo/Avastin). xoxo

Hi Susan,
Let's hope you can dance with "ned" for quite a while.
As for me I am on my 3rd round of chemo now, sigh... I do know what you mean.
How long can this recurrence thing go on?
Hang in there and I'm hoping for your best results.

Great news, Susan! I just
Great news, Susan! I just had my CT scan today and will get the results on the 10th, as well as my new CA125 number.
I just finished my first round of chemo - carbo/taxol.

Congratulations
Dearest Susan, what a post to start the day! That is awesome news, so take a deep breath and then celebrate celebrate celebrate. Try not to focus on whether or not it is a remission, just enjoy the gift of whatever it may be. God is Good all the time. Hugs ♥ Prayers Bonnie0 -
It's so thrilling to be on the 'out of treatment side'!kayandok said:Awesome!
So happy for you Susan! Take a break, grow some hair and enjoy life!!!
Kathleen
Congratulations! I was just given the 'take a break' news on Monday and it still hasn't sunk in that I may actually get a chance to pack away my hats and wigs, once again, and actually buy shampoo!! I realize HAIR is still many months away, but at least I can start rubbing my head trying to feel nubs! HA!
ENJOY!!! It is amazing how quickly you feel good again, healthier, without the chemo,... or is it just the JOY of not trecking over there over and over??? (((Happy Hugs)))0 -
Thank you everyone~
Thank you all for the well-wishes sent my way :-)
I had very low blood counts this week (my last chemo was Feb 9th),
so had to receive 2 pints of blood + magnesium.
Have a CT Scan at the end of the month; and if that's clear, then
I'll be dancing~
for now; just "Thank you all for being here!"
Love,
~Susan xoxo0 -
