DVT and Pulmonary Embolism (clots)

I have seen no postings on the danger of blood clots during chemo and after a uterine cancer diagnosis. I have had two bouts of leg clots and pulmonary embolisms. I would not have had the second bout and second hospital visit if my doctor and I had been aware that coumadin (warfarin) often does not prevent clots in those undergoing chemo. Just want to make other DVT patients aware of this problem and the fact they need to stay on heparine or lovenox if they want to avoid further problems. Also, want to emphasize the need to be aware of the predisposition to clots especially during travel. I have serus papillary cancer taking cisplatin and gemcitabine.
