My father had it to correct
My father had it to correct a heart arythmia, but I wasn't present for the procedure. As far as I understand it is done while you are awake and it is not terribly painful, just uncomfortable. They snake something through a major vein to your heart and freeze a litte spot that is mis-firing so that the rest can keep working right. My father has an extreme fear of hospitals and procedures and he did not seem to be bad off with this procedure. He felt much better once it was done since it is very scarry to feel your heart not beating right, the procedure 100% corrected it.

Best of luck to you and your loved ones.
