My love/hate relationship with carbo/taxol

Hi my friends,
Carbo/taxol infusions..... I HATE them. I go for my 3rd (out of 8) on Monday. The 2nd one threw me for a loop. I was 5-7 days almost entirely in bed, I call that "basecamp". I'm still so fatiqued that I can hardly do anything without resting. They have to slow the drip down to a crawl with me to avoid reactions, so it takes all day. I get terrible aches and pains, metal mouth, and horrible constipation... I can only discribe the feeling for me as having the worst flu ever and being stuck on a roller coaster.
BUT.... I LOVE this awful drug. The last time I went through a course of carbo/taxol was after my diagnosis in 5/06. I had the big surgeries, was staged at 3C and by the time the chemo was completed I had a CA-125 of 9. I remained in the normal range for over 3 years! I know there are some on this board that are just starting or finishing their courses of chemo and I want to wish you wonderful results and long, long dances with NED. I hope to join you soon.
