Has anyone seen this diet on the internet? It is very interesting and really as some good recipes. The guy who 'founded' it was in his 40's when he was diagnosed with colon cancer and is fine now.
I am feeling quilty because I ate a hamburgar today so I am trying to get back on track. I ended up getting my daughters stomach flu for 5 days, vomiting and the works so I had not really eaten and it just sounded so good!!! So I ate one...from McDonalds. UGH!
I feel as though I should punish myself....

No punishment
Stop the punishment and start the diet! ;-)
Yes, I've read the cookbook (my friend loaned it to me years ago--she didn't even have cancer and tried going raw for general health). I also have been on the website.
If it appeals to you or interests you, I definitely think trying it cannot hurt you. What do you have to lose?
If you need to modify it to your needs (having some steamed veggies and brown rice for instance)do what works for you.
I find that if I give myself a timetable I can tackle a new regime....such as I will do this for one month/three months/six months etc etc. Then it doesn't seem so unsurmountable and overwhelming.
I don't remember if it's all raw or 80/20.
Good luck if you try it!

Been there
I actually went to a seminar by this guy and was really gung ho. It was back when I was doing the whole foods and juicing thing anyways, so I wanted to just get more information. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me, I still had a recurrence, but it definitely seems to work for others. I think it comes down to the same things that cause western treatments to work for some and not for others; our bodies are different, the way our bodies handle various things is different. But I have to admit I'm glad I tried it; I don't have to beat myself up over what ifs.
