Navalbine

I was diagnosed Stage 3C in January 2007. Had the usual aggressive surgery and then IP/IV cisplatin and taxol. I had an 11 month remission and have been on several chemo regimens since. Most recently I did well on Topotecan for about 8 months. It suddenly stopped working which is maybe just as well because by that time I could hardly tolerate the week long treatments. I have just started on Navelbine. Does anyone have any experience with this drug? At this point I am worried about running out of treatment options.

Lots of things to do yet :-)
Hi Joan, I have not personally been on navelbine, but have friends that have been. They said it wasn't bad, hair thinned and flu like symptoms ~ sounds a bit like the topo side affects.
BUT ~ my main reason to respond is to the "running out of treatment options". I was diagnosed Jan 2003 and have only one time I can count as a remission and not really. That was right after the first surgery and chemo.. for 3 months my ca125 stayed normal and I actually thought I beat the disease. Anyway I have a list of treatments I have had so if you post what you have been on I'd be happy to add all my chemos to the list and each month we survive they find something new to try.
Here a just a few: Abraxane, taxol/carbo, topotecan, avastin/cytoxin, etoposide, taxatere, desentized carbo ~ twice, doxil, oxiliplatin, gemzar, hmmmm now my memory fails me but you get the idea ~ lots of obtions so give your worries to the Lord and continue to post your questions here. Prayers ♥ Hugs Bonnie
