Burning feeling on tongue

My dad was diagnosed with EC-Stage IV a few days before Christmas 09. He's on his second cycle of chemo and has started to have a burning feeling on his tongue. It's making it difficult for him to eat certain foods. Does anyone have tips on how to relive the burning sensation?

Thanks so much!

Carolyn

Thank you so much and nice
Thank you so much and nice to meet you! This is very comprehensive and gives me a good start. I'm not the direct care partner for my father, but I will certainly pass these tips along to my mom. Unfortunately, I'm many miles away from where my parents live. Thank you, again and keep up the fight.
