I joined this year & am still learning about posting. I was diagnosed March 2008 with Stage IV Ovarian Cancer. I had 3 treatments of Carboplatin & Taxol, surgery July 2008 & 3 more treatments of Carboplatin & Taxol. Still have progression of disease. Three cycles of Doxil - still progression of disease. Tried hormonal therapy - no help. Other drugs offered. I decided on palliative care. Am feeling good - few symptoms. A week ago I began using my treadmill& that helps me feel more normal. Is anyone out there who is in or near the same place as I? Also, does anyone know why I always have an icon with checkmark & word edit after my postings? I even sent a question to this web site & they were unaware of any such icon! My prayers are with all of you ladies. It is a comfort to know there are others available for support. MC I previewed this posting & it was dated Dec. 31.1969 6pm!!!!What is going wrong?????? MC

    Hi Margaret,
Your posting on my end looks fine. It is dated Feb. 17, 2010. I'm not sure what the icons are.

    Hello Margaret,

I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer as well, however; in 2007. I'm currently on my third form of chemo (etopocide).

I must say that throughout the duration of my treatments, when able my oncologist encouraged me to stay active she believes this is why I survived my cancer thus far due to my past history of vigorous cardio regimens. You are right, you will feel more "normal" .

It may sound a bit conflicting, but stress (if there is any in your life that you can control/not speaking cancer of course; remove it immediately it doesn't help with the releasing of harmful inflammatory hormones into your body for sure.

From here, your posting is reflecting 2/17/10, so sometimes it's just a glitch that hopefully will work itself out?
