I tried to changed my photo
Today was a deep depression day. Yesterday I read about the stage 4 80% reoccurrence rate and it just got me down. This morning the Kubota, me and the chainsaw went into the snow filled woods to cut a load of firewood. The woods are a wonderful place to get your head on straight.
While cutting, something that Crow71 said came to my mine. He said “I find it inspiring that you are cutting wood for next winter. That's my kind of hopeful plan!!!”.
Man did that hit the point. I am planning on beating this crap. When I was cutting last year it was hard as hell to do it. I started cutting 4 weeks after chemo/embolazation. By the last load in March it was easy.
Today my wife and I are keeping warm with that firewood. Why? Because I planned on living this year. By cutting next winters firewood, ( this is why I tried to changed the photo) I am planning on living next year and keeping my **** warm!!!!
For you city folks, the photo was of a building that is called an equipment shed. I stack the firewood between the bays. That equipment shed filled with firewood represents my strong will to live. When I get down again, all I have to think about is "got firewood".

Think Heat
Don't think stats, they are for horse racing. I wish there wasn't so much focus on here with them. The only one that matters is 100% of us will die. Too bad 100% of us don't focus on being alive.
If you want to change your photo here's a tutorial. It should explain things. Email if you'd like more help.

Photo
Your photo changed just fine. Ditto what Phil said. We have a place in mid-Michigan so I know all about the firewood thing but we cheat and give the local economy a boost by having it delivered but George does have a small log splitter to split some of the big stuff down to smaller logs to get the fire going easier when we are up there. Nothing like a nice warm, roaring fire. Tina0 -

wow what a pace to be in the shed I use fire wood also don't cut it anymore but you have the right out look on this crap I don't even care what the stats say I say I have beaten it and that is all that matters if we listened to stats we would not have anything to look forward to they say 50% of all marriages end in divorce...well I am still married . People who think up this stuff don't have any idea about the real world...keep on keeping on0 -

Stats
When I was first dx,I used to look at the stats, and it only made me depressed,so I quit looking at them and found that they don't really count. There are some people that were told they only had a few months, and that was about 10 years ago,and they are still here, and NED.I think everyone gets depressed once in a while, you just need to find something to take your mind off it.Just keep on cutting firewood, and good luck.0
